We recently established the ECHONET2.0 Strategy Working Group under the Promotion Committee and launched activities to establish the “ECHONET 2.0 Vision” as a new endeavor toward the ECHONET Consortium for an IoT-driven society. The focus of the session was a presenting an interim report to the participants.
At the session, Tatsumi Miyazaki, chief of the ECHONET2.0 Strategy Working Group, explained the status of studies working towards establishing the ECHONET 2.0 Vision. Minori Yagi from NTT Smile Energy Co., Ltd. talked about business expansion using energy IoT, and Shinichiro Uto from Lawson, Inc. delivered a lecture on the status of the development and expansion of the Smart Energy Store System to realize Net Zero Energy Store (ZES).
On behalf of the Steering Committee, Technical Committee, and Promotion Committee, the chairman of each committee reported their 2017 activity achievements and 2018 action plans for the ECHONET Consortium.
In addition to the reports, TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd. and NALTEC, Inc. gave presentation about introduce their technologies.
Finally, technology exhibitions were presented by the Japan Electric Meters Inspection Corporation (JEMIC), Nisshin Systems Co., Ltd., Yamato Denki Co., Ltd., Nippon Systemware Co., Ltd., NALTEC, Inc., TÜV Rheinland Japan Ltd., and ROHM Co., Ltd.
