ECHONET Consortium exhibited at Enlit Asia 2022 held from September 20th to September 22nd, 2022 as a part of national project*. The venue was Thailand’s biggest exhibition center BITEC (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre) located in Bang Na District, southeast of Bangkok. There were 166 exhibitors.
At the ECHONET Consortium booth, the panel displayed the word “international standard” in Thailand language and introduced the ECHONET Lite, ECHONET Lite Web API, and the linkage between them and other standards. Exhibitor demonstrated a demo system that controlled storage batteries, air conditioners and other devices by ECHONET Lite and a virtual tour of the HEMS Interoperability Test Center in Kanagawa Institute of Technology on a large display. An introduction video of ECHONET Consortium was also played on the PC screen.
About 70 people visited the ECHONET Consortium booth, including people from ASEAN countries such as India, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Malaysia in addition to Thailand, as well as people from various countries such a United States, Germany, and South Africa. We received many questions and comments from visitors, but the most common ones were questions about ECHONET Lite itself and its functions, because there is no unified standard for smart meters in Thailand. * International standardization of ECHONET Lite AIF specifications for storage battery control methods used in HEMS
