ECHONET Consortium exhibited at Enlit Europe which is the Europe’s largest energy-related exhibition held from November 29th to December 1st, 2022, with support of national project *.
The venue was messe frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany, and it is directly connected to Frankfurt (Main) Messe station which is two stations by suburban train (S-Bahn) from Frankfurt Central Station.
We connected a notebook PC placed on the central counter to a large display and introduced two demonstrations, an air conditioner control system and a Home Energy Management system developed by Kanagawa Institute of Technology, as well as a virtual tour of the HEMS Certification Support Center. A notebook PC placed on the round table on the right side of the booth repeatedly played back an introductory video about the ECHONET Consortium. On the left and right back walls of the booth, we posted panels explaining the overview of ECHONT Lite, its prevalence, introduction of ECHONET Lite Web API, and linkage with other standards.
During the explanation to the visitors, for example, we took a virtual tour of the HEMS Certification Support Center and gave a demonstration of controlling the air conditioner selected by the visitors from the exhibition hall. Through this explanation, we were able to promote the ECHONET Lite feature of being able to remotely control actual air conditioners from 6 companies in real time.
About 40 visitors from 20 countries mainly from Europe stopped by our booth, and their industries included smart meter manufacturers, data collection and analysis service providers for IoT, and electric power consultants. Questions we received included what ECHONET Lite is, how many products have been on the market, and what advantages it has over other similar standards.
