This is Toyota Motor’s first household storage battery.
It is a hybrid full-load power conditioner with an independent output of 5.5kVA. It also supports 200V, so you can have electricity in your entire house, even during a power outage.
The storage battery unit is equipped with the lithium-ion battery installed in the RAV4 PHV at 8.7kWh. Many years of electrified vehicle development, as well as on-board parts and units, have been utilized to create a home storage battery.
In addition, it can be charged and powered from 100V accessory outlets of HEVs, PHEVs, BEVs, and FCEVs (* 1), giving you a peace of mind at night in case of a power outage.
