On June 21, Fri., the ECHONET Lite Promotion Symposium was held at Seavans, Minato-ku, in Tokyo.
As the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) recommended ECHONET Lite as a standard interface for HEMS last year, the move toward promoting spread of ECHONET Lite has been accelerating. At the symposium, there were lectures including addresses given by foreign guest speakers and a discussion on the progress and globalizing of HEMS standardization in cooperation with industry, government and academia and the trend expected to develop rapidly.
