Participated in the W3C-hosted TPAC 2025 Plugfest
The ECHONET Consortium participated in the W3C-hosted TPAC 2025 Plugfest held in Kobe from November 9 to November 14, 2025, where we confirmed the interoperability between the ECHONET Lite Web API and the Web of Things (WoT).
The ECHONET Consortium provided the ECHONET Lite Web API-compliant server and the WoT Proxy, which converts the WoT API to the ECHONET Lite Web API. Three companies connected their WoT Consumers (applications) to the components provided by the ECHONET Consortium, and it was confirmed that they could control physical ECHONET Lite devices. The interoperability demonstration was very successful, with a large audience present at the venue.
The ECHONET Consortium and WoT will continue to conduct mutual discussions and collaborative work as needed, promoting the development of an environment that will lead to the creation of new value and services through collaboration between the ECHONET Consortium and WoT.
