The ECHONET Lite AIF specifications were approved to be stepped up to the CDV stage at the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25 WG1.
With support from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the ECHONET Consortium is proposing international standardization of the ECHONET Lite AIF specifications (between home air conditioners and controllers) in collaboration with the Kanagawa Institute of Technology .
At the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25 WG1 meeting held in Nagasaki on September 23-27, WG members approved responses to CD(Committee Draft) comments proposed by the ECHONET Consortium, and approved trnsition to the next-stage CDV(Committee Draft for Vote).
As a result of a multi-vendor demonstration involving two air conditioners and three controllers, the ECHONET Consortium earned a higher reputation than SC25 members for maintaining interoperability with the ECHONET Lite AIF specifications.
