We gave a lecture on “TAICS Global Standards Forum (TGSF) 2019” in Taiwan.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, we gave a presentation titled “ECHONET and Smart Homes” to introduce ECHONET Lite at “TAICS Global Standards Forum (TGSF) 2019 ” hosted by Taiwan’s standardization organization, the Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards (TAICS). The event took place at the NTUH* International Convention Center in Taipei. ECHONET Lite is a set of home network specifications developed by the ECHONET Consortium. In addition to the specifications, we also presented on the recent penetration of ECHONET Lite in the Japanese market and the current status of initiatives under ECHONET 2.0, a new strategy that aims towards an IoT-based society. *NTUH : National Taiwan University Hospital

Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards (TAICS):
TAICS is an information and communication-related standardization organization that promotes the formulation and penetration of standard specifications such as Advanced Mobile Communication, Network Communication, Device Internetworking, Network and Information Security, etc. Its establishment involved fifty companies, including those in information/communication-related industries as well as research and academic organizations in Taiwan. The TAICS has signed MOUs with international standardization development organizations such as ETSI, ARIB, TTC, TTA, TSDSI, and MTSFB (Malaysia).
At the forum this year, representatives from standards development organizations in the US, Europe, Japan, Korea, and India gave presentations for their initiatives towards IoT activities.
